How to Create a Separate Browser User for a Single Google Account
If you are logged into multiple Google accounts within the same browser, you may experience conflicts or errors when using Sendcoach or other Google-connected services. The best way to avoid these issues is to create a separate browser user (profile) for each Google account. This way, each browser profile is tied to only one Google login, keeping things clean and organized.
✅ Recommendation:
If you use Sendcoach, create a dedicated browser profile for the Google account linked to Sendcoach. Use that profile only for your recruiting work to avoid mix-ups with personal or work accounts.
Below are instructions for both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.
In Google Chrome
- Open Google Chrome.
- At the top right, click your profile icon (circle with your picture or initials).
- Click Add.
- In the pop-up, select Continue without an account if you don’t want to sync, or sign in immediately with the Google account you’ll use in this profile.
- Give your new profile a name (e.g., “Soccer Recruiting” or “Work Gmail”).
- (Optional) Choose a color theme to make it easy to distinguish.
- Click Done.
- A new browser window will open with this profile. From here, log into only the one Google account you want tied to it.
➡️ Each Chrome profile runs independently, so you can keep personal, work, and recruiting accounts completely separate.
In Microsoft Edge
- Open Microsoft Edge.
- At the top right, click your profile icon (circle with your picture or initials).
- Click Add Profile.
- In the new pop-up, click Add.
- Edge will ask if you want to sign in with a Microsoft or work account. You can skip this if you only want to use a Google login, or you can sign in if you want syncing.
- Once the new profile window opens, go to gmail.com and log in with the single Google account you want to keep in this profile.
- Rename the profile and assign a color/icon for easy recognition.
➡️ Just like in Chrome, each Edge profile is completely independent, allowing you to dedicate one profile per Google account.
Why This Helps
- Prevents Google login conflicts in Gmail, Drive, and Sendcoach.
- Makes it easy to switch between personal, school, or recruiting accounts without logging in and out.
- Keeps cookies, extensions, and browsing history separate per profile.
